Our lab aims to understand how humans learn motor skills and how to restore these skills after neuromuscular injuries. We focus on neural and cognitive motor control principles of hand dexterity. Our long-term goal is to derive principles of motor control, and inform the design of effective therapies for regaining motor functions after injury and training strategies for motor skill learning. We strive to train the next generation of uncompromising and collegial scientists, biomedical engineers, and clinicians, who are driven by curiosity, courage, and compassion, with a vision of solving global issues with a ready hand to help local communities.
